Miss. Aabha Garud travelled to Tadoba with Mumbai Travellers in May 2017 and fell in love with the forest and it’s charming residents! Check out the first cut expressions about mesmerizing Tadoba forest by Aabha in her blog below :
My TADOBA Tale !!
The hangover of our recent trip to Tadoba through Mumbai Travellers still dwells like the fragment of a story unfolding and coming to life.
Undoubtedly the forest is a bewitched place holding us spellbound in its unfathomable magnificence. Quite unacquainted with its beguiled charms, we ventured on this trip and were captivated in the manifold shrouds of the forest grandeur. Ultimately falling prey to its allures, I now refuse to be revived from its enchantments.
It is extremely difficult to comprehend which parameter factored in most that made those 3 days so memorable. Was it simply the raw appeal of the forest or the crescendo of shared emotions and thrill in a group with variable ages but common interests? I believe it was both.
To watch the tigress, Maya strut along the water side like a supermodel flaunting her contours, the languid snoozing of the leopard nestled on the tree, the wild dogs, parade of the sloth bear in the middle of the road and the sheer stroke of luck in being a fortunate spectator to the rare wrestling performances by the tiger cubs definitely made this trip what it is……in one word : phenomenal. Not forgetting the luxuriant abundance of deer, boars, crocodiles, mongooses, lizards, sambars, bison, birds, other flora and fauna that brought the spirit of the forest to consciousness. The surrounding camouflage was perfect to help us un-camouflage our spirits, seek peace and blend with nature.
Extremely welcome showers of rain that sent the foliage in the first blushes of bloom and the wet forest smell enhanced the contentedness of this trip.
It was probably the immeasurably insane love for nature that propelled us all together leaving behind a lingering trail of supreme happiness and unleashed a longing for much more in the future.
And a big big thank you to the one person who tied all the knots together – SAURABH!! It is due to you and the tour guides that we realized that “yes, I am in the Universe of the Forest”.
Cheers to all! Stay connected! Waiting to (un)cover another canvas!
